About Us

Darrell Thomas Textiles originally opened its doors September 18, 2000 and quickly became well known for providing the most beautiful and original dressmaking textiles in Ottawa, Canada. Darrell and Thomas opened this store with the purpose of providing the sewing community a boutique with well represented Textiles and Interior Accessories.

We opened our first store in the 240 Sparks Shopping Centre, which is located in the downtown core of Ottawa. At this location, we sold high quality textiles for clothing as well as a selection of Home Couture articles such as pillows, throws, and pillars. But after four years, we found that we had outgrown our premises and decided to look for a new home.

We quickly found our new home at 217 Bank Street. A charming building with a lot of style and class. At this location, not only do we sell high quality dressmaking textiles and designer buttons (43 000 in stock), but we also feature a small selection of artwork that is fashion-oriented.

Our existing Home Couture line consists of designer throws, silk pillows, and seasonal articles of interest. We also have the complete collection of Home Decorating Textiles by Kravet Couture & Lee Jofa. This collection may be viewed in our store or in the comfort of your home at www.kravet.com and www.leejofa.com. We have chosen these lines because of their reputation of quality and originality.

Also, after many years of client persuasion, we finally have a classroom in the store where we feature sewing courses and workshops.
